Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to the most common questions about our services, training, and policies.

What is CPL Ground Training?

CPL Ground Training is the academic foundation for your Commercial Pilot License. It covers all the theoretical knowledge required to become a professional pilot — including subjects like Air Navigation, Meteorology, Air Regulations, and Aircraft General Knowledge.

How long does CPL Ground Training take?

The duration typically ranges from 3 to 6 months, depending on your study pace and class schedule. Some institutes also offer fast-track or flexible online batches for students who wish to complete it sooner.

What subjects are included in CPL Ground Training?

CPL Ground usually includes the following key subjects:

• Air Navigation
• Meteorology
• Air Regulations
• Aircraft General Knowledge
• Flight Performance and Planning
• Human Performance and Limitations
• Radio Telephony (RT)

Is CPL Ground Training mandatory before flight training?

Yes. Clearing the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) ground exams is a mandatory step before or alongside your flight training. The ground helps you understand aircraft operations, flight safety, and aviation procedures in detail.

Who can enroll in CPL Ground Training?

Anyone aged 17 or above with a 10+2 education (Physics and Mathematics required) can apply. You should also hold or be eligible to apply for a Class 1 Medical Certificate from a DGCA-approved medical examiner.

Are the ground classes online or in-person?

We offer both online and classroom-based training options. Online classes allow flexibility for remote learners, while in-person sessions provide hands-on mentoring and group learning experiences.

What happens after completing CPL Ground Training?

Once you successfully complete and pass your DGCA ground exams, you can proceed to flight training at an approved Flying Training Organization (FTO) in India or abroad. This brings you one step closer to earning your Commercial Pilot License.
